The Department of Medical Education and Research, Haryana, on September 08, 2026, issued the Procedure for admission to MDS Courses in Government/Private Dental Educational Institutions including those under Private Universities for Academic Session 2026-27.
The following has been stated: -
•For admission to MDS courses in Government and Private Dental Institutions in Haryana for Academic Session 2026–27, admission will be through NEET MDS-2026 merit and centralized online counselling conducted by Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak.
•In Government colleges, 50% seats are All-India Merit and 50% Haryana State Merit, while in Private colleges, 50% seats are State Quota/Open Merit and 50% Management quota.
•Horizontal reservations include up to 40% In-service seats, 25% Institutional Preference seats for candidates who completed BDS from Haryana institutions, and 5% PWBD seats, along with applicable constitutional and EWS reservations.
•Candidates must be Indian citizens, satisfy Haryana domicile/residency requirements for State Quota, have a recognized BDS degree, complete the required one-year compulsory rotatory internship, and hold registration with a State Dental Council/NDC; Management quota is open to candidates from all India.
•All eligible candidates must register online on the authorized counselling portal, and seat allotment will be based on NEET MDS-2026 merit, applicable reservation rules, and final approval of seats by the Government of India/NDC/State Government/Affiliating University.
